Black bag fanatic

Hi welcome back to Marvellous Monmouth!  Something a little different today - and it all started when Monmouthshire County Council's delivery of recycling bags landed on my doorstep this morning all wrapped up in a v nice bag to do my shopping (and save on carriers!).  Yep bloggers this is marvellous for the environment but there is still part of me that hankers for the past...

The council delivery arrived today,
and this blogger has only one thing to say:

Black bag fanatic

You must forgive me for not being diplomatic,
You see I truly am a black bag fanatic.
I yearn for the days of stuffing everything in one,
Yes, yes I know it won't save  us from the sun.
But life was just so easy back then,
Chcking rubbish took one min not ten.
Now I spend my time surrounded by sacks,
Purple, red, green, white - that's facts.
I talk to my rubbish, now which one are you,
And if I get it wrong the council will sue.
It doesn't really help that I'm saving the planet,
If I lose my mind sorting rubbish, can it?
You must forgive me for not being diplomatic,
You see I truly am a black bag fanatic!
Roo

Now I wonder what Henry V (one of Monmouth's most famous son's) would think of recycling...
Until next time...Roo
